Jennifer Russo, Soprano – HONORABLE MENTION
Soprano, Jennifer Russo is currently an Advanced Diploma candidate at the Queens College Aaron Copland School of Music. Ms. Russo’s recent credits include the role of Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte with the Queens College Opera Studio and the role of Copper Woman in Grapes of Wrath with Sugar Creek Opera in Watseka, IL where she was also a member of the Danis Wilson Apprentice Artist Program.
Ms. Russo debuted with The Bronx Opera Company in their production of Regina, where she covered the role of Birdie in January. She also debuted with the Queens College Choral Society as the Soprano Soloist in Bach’s Magnificat and Vivaldi’s Gloria in December.
Russo completed her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music and Psychology from The George Washington University in Washington, DC where she served as a Presidential Scholar in the Arts. She currently studies with Dr. Sherry Overholt.
